I’d normally answer that question by saying that the program wasn’t the point; it was just the excuse to put these techniques through their paces. In that sense, these really are not becoming a Rembrandt Comic Book; the problem of rendering a fancy game board with lots of colors while retaining the highest display resolution is both not trivial and also clearly pays off.
